BOARD MEMBERS

SNACK is a program of the Western Oregon Center for Pediatric Therapeutic Lifestyle Change (WOC).

Our board of directors includes community members and representatives from organizations and institutions around Yamhill County including Physicians’ Medical Center, Yamhill County Health and Human Services, and Linfield College.

William Koenig, DO

President and Co-Founder

Bill Koenig is a co-founder of the SNACK Program. He is a board certified pediatrician at Physicians’ Medical Center in McMinnville, OR. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medicine in Rochester, MN. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Oregon Medical Association.

Janet Peterson, DrPH

Vice President and Co-Founder

BS in Biology / Premed, University of Southern California

Janet is the vice president and  co-founder of the SNACK program. Janet is active with the SNACK program and can often be found exercising or cooking alongside the kids and student interns. 

Janet is a registered dietitian and clinical exercise physiologist. She is a professor of health and human performance at Linfield College and the departmental internship coordinator.  When she is not teaching or helping out with the SNACK program, Janet enjoys being physically active outdoors, writing fiction and playing in the kitchen. 

Camilo Zamora

Secretary

Board member since 2017

Camilo studied medicine in Colombia and is currently pursuing a physician assistant degree. He completed a 2-year internship with Operation Smile in Colombia, providing genetic counseling to children and families and conducting research in remote regions of the country. Camilo also brings expertise to the board as a medical / legal interpreter and translator.

Camilo is passionate about behavioral medicine and helping children overcome issues related to body image and self-esteem. In his free time, Camilo enjoys being outdoors with his wife, Joanna, and his two dogs, Baru and Goji.

Carmen Mendenhall

Treasurer

Board member since 2017

Carmen serves as the current treasurer. She also works as the account manager for the Physicians' Medical Center. 

Jennifer Scott, RD, LD

Board Member

Board member since 2016
MS in Nutrition Education, Georgia State University.

Jennifer has worked as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for more than 20 years, including in public health, clinical dietetics, and for the most recent 20 years, at Physicians’ Medical Center, providing medical nutrition therapy and diabetes education to residents of Yamhill County, Oregon and Linfield College.

Jennifer enjoys helping people gain knowledge and confidence to use that knowledge to improve their health, meet their goals, and feel terrific! Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening (and especially cooking from the garden), hiking, volunteering, and even jogging a little!

Kevin Dao, MD, MPH

Kevin’s professional interests are community based healthcare and mental health.
He enjoys spending his free time hiking and exploring nature.

Stephanie Arciga, BS, QMHA

BS in Health Education, Linfield College

Stephanie Arciga was born and raised in McMinnville, OR. While pursuing her undergraduate degree at Linfield College, she was a SNACK Program Intern. She is currently working with Yamhill County Health and Human Services as a Qualified Mental Health Associate and Behavior Consultant.

Stephanie is passionate about working with the Latino Community. She is professionally driven and dedicated to reaching out to targeted communities and being a resource for people of all backgrounds. In her free time, she enjoys the great outdoors, listening to music, coloring, reading, and exercising.
