College Interns

Our interns are students at Linfield College who have been trained to deliver nutrition education to children ages 6 - 18 and their families in Yamhill County, OR. They deliver nearly all of our programs and events.

Lead SNACK Intern 2018-2019

Kaylee is a health education major at Linfield College. Her favorite snack is apples with peanut butter. She enjoys running and finding new trails in Portland's Forest Park. Kaylee loves that SNACK allows her to learn more about nutrition.

Tiffany is an exercise science major at Linfield College. Her favorite snack is homemade fruit smoothies. She enjoys playing volleyball, competing in high jump for track & field, and hiking. Tiffany loves that SNACK allows her to be active with soccer and run club as well as promote a healthy lifestyle for kids!

Erin is an exercise science major at Linfield College. Her favorite snack is strawberries, and her favorite outdoor activity is horseback riding. She loves that SNACK gives her the opportunity to help kids learn more about health, nutrition, and achieving their goals.

Hailey is a health education major at Linfield College. If she were a superhero her superpower would be the ability to freeze time. When she was five she was pretty sure she would be a swimming coach when she grew up. If Hailey was a veggie she would be a sweet potato because they are yummy and orange. When she isn't at school or work she enjoys being with family and being outdoors.

Chloe is a nursing major at Linfield College. If she were a superhero her superpower would be teleportation. When she was five she was pretty sure she would be a monkey tamer for the circus when she grew up. If Chloe was a veggie she would be an onion because of their multiple layers and how they represent depth. When she isn't at school or work she enjoys skiing.

Josh is a health education major at Linfield College. His favorite snack is pineapple. He enjoys going on hikes and taking trips to the beach. He loves that SNACK gives him the opportunity to get to know new people and make a positive difference in their lives.

Rylee is a nursing major at Linfield College. Her favorite snack is apples and peanut butter. She enjoys being active and likes to hike, swim and run. She loves that SNACK gives her the opportunity to interact with the kids.

Ashley is a health education major at Linfield College. If she were a superhero her superpower would be the ability to time travel. When she was five she was pretty sure she would be a meteorologist for the weather channel. If Ashley was a veggie she would be a cauliflower because of they are different than most other veggies. When she isn't at school or work she enjoys playing with her dogs, hanging out with friends and napping.

Charlotte is a nursing major at Linfield College. Her favorite snack is oatmeal and berries. She enjoys playing guitar, snowboarding and spending time with family. She loves that SNACK gives her the opportunity to connect with others by reaching out and educating them about nutrition to help them live the best life they can!

Mikayla is an exercise science major at Linfield College. If she were a superhero her superpower would be the ability to read minds. When she was five she was pretty sure she would be a firefighter. If Mikayla was a veggie she would be a tomato because of they are so good as so many different things! When she isn't at school or work she enjoys being active outdoors and being with family and friends.

Rubi G. 

SNACK Program intern since Winter 2018

Office Hours: Beginning in Spring

Rubi is a health education major at Linfield College. If she were a superhero she would be Wolverine with his animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, powerful regenerative ability known as a healing factor, and three retractable claws in each hand (to chop-up my veggies faster). When she was five she was pretty sure she would be saving babies as a doctor. If Rubi was a veggie she would be a baby carrot because she has a strong personality, but is sweet! When she isn't at school or work she enjoys being at her favorite coffee shop drinking a chai latte with a friend or alone studying church notes/working on her online profiles.
